About the festival
The Yeoncheon Goryeo Ginseng Festival showcases the excellence of Goryeo ginseng grown in Yeoncheon and boosts local agriculture. Located at 38 degrees north, Yeoncheon’s latitude, climate and soil make it an ideal place to grow six-year-old ginseng, and its Gaeseong-type Goryeo ginseng is a renowned local specialty. The festival offers exhibitions, sales, activities and food based on the history and quality of Yeoncheon ginseng, and lets farmers and consumers meet directly in a farmers’ market.
