About the festival
The Wanju Wild & Local Food Festival, Wanju County’s signature festival, offers unusual “wild” experiences in Wanju’s pristine nature and healthy local food from Korea’s first local-food town, fun for all ages. Under the 2026 slogan “Blazing Wild Nature”, highlights include fire-pit grilling, local bushcraft, gamja samgut (traditional earth-pit cooking) and big fire-themed events, along with water play in Sirangcheon Stream and a straw slide, local meals prepared by women’s associations from 13 towns, a farmers’ market and a wild EDM music party.
