About the festival
Hwaseong Haenggung, filled with King Jeongjo’s grand vision and devotion to his parents, is the largest and most formal of Korea’s temporary palaces and rivals Gyeongbokgung in beauty. Suwon’s signature night program, the 2026 Hwaseong Haenggung Night Opening “Dalbit Hwadam”, is themed “stories of flowers under the moonlight”, with flower installations and dreamy lighting that create a splendid yet serene night. Walking the softly lit flower paths, you feel the atmosphere of old times, nature and the spirit of Joseon.
