About the festival

The Gyeonggi·Yangju·Ground Operations Command Dronebot Festival is a win-win civil-government-military festival jointly hosted by Gyeonggi-do, Yangju City, and the Army Ground Operations Command. It is held for three days from October 30 to November 1, 2026, at Ganap-ri Airfield in Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju. Based on the Yangju City Ordinance on Fostering and Supporting the Drone Industry and the Business Agreement for the Mutual Development of Civil, Government, and Military at Ganap-ri Airfield, the festival aims to develop a leading festival of the western region, build a foundation for the drone industry, and promote balanced regional development. With a total project budget of KRW 61.2 billion, it presents a look at advanced national defense and the future of the Fourth Industrial Revolution through the Army's dronebot combat system demonstration, an exhibition of U.S. Forces Korea combat equipment, exhibitions by domestic and international advanced drone and robot companies, a dronebot competition, a variety of military culture performances, and citizen experience programs.
