About the festival

"If you don't get drunk, you cannot go home!" Bulchwimugwi, the King's Night Market inspired by the historical tale of King Jeongjo, returns with an even richer Season 2. Held every Saturday from October 10 to 31, for a total of four nights, around Suwon Nammun Market, this night market is an extended-stay night festival that combines the history and culture of the traditional market with food, performances, and hands-on content. The usual event space has been expanded to a car-free street and the market arcade so visitors can freely explore every corner of the market. Visitors can enjoy a variety of food, including "Nammun Jangteo," a food area run directly by market merchants, "Yajang Madang," an outdoor dining space, and food trucks. There is also a game-style program in which visitors explore the market, complete missions, and rise in rank, along with citizen participation events. Each night has its own concept and participatory events, such as "The King's Return" and "Joseon Ghosts," for a fresh kind of fun. Bulchwimugwi Season 2 weaves together Suwon's history and the vitality of Nammun Market, letting citizens and tourists eat, stroll, and enjoy a new kind of Suwon night.
