About the festival

*The food information below is from the 2025 festival; 2026 information is being updated.* The 2026 Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival is a traditional culture festival based on the history of Yeoju's rice and sweet potatoes being presented to the king via Jopo Ferry in the Joseon era. Main programs include a tribute parade, cauldron Yeoju rice bibimbap, a roasted sweet potato Guinness attempt, a wish-paper path and nakhwa-nori (burning-charcoal fireworks), along with sales of local produce, food, traditional culture experiences and performances. After sunset, night programs such as nakhwa-nori offer a different atmosphere from the daytime.
