About the festival

The World Heritage Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty Festival conveys the history and dignity of the UNESCO-listed royal tombs and lets visitors experience them up close. Performances, tours, activities and exhibitions spanning tradition and modernity bring their living history and culture to life. Launched in 2020 and now in its seventh year, the 2026 festival opens on October 16 and runs until October 25, with new programs based on the unique stories and historical value of each tomb, so you can walk their grounds and experience their beauty with all your senses.
