About the festival
Food information is from the 2025 festival and is being updated for 2026. The Sunchang Fermented Sauce Festival is a food culture festival in Sunchang, the home of traditional sauces, where you can experience the value of Korean jang culture and fermented foods such as gochujang, doenjang and ganjang. The 21st festival, themed “The World’s Taste, Held in Sunchang”, runs from October 15 to 18 at Sunchang Traditional Gochujang Folk Village and the Fermentation Theme Park. Highlights include making gochujang with Korean and international visitors, a royal tribute parade reenacting the offering of Sunchang gochujang to the king, a global jang culture school, K-food experiences making kimchi, makgeolli, pickles and meju, an AR mission game and a sauce lounge for exhibitions and tastings.
