About the festival

The 8th Yeoncheon Chrysanthemum Festival is an autumn chrysanthemum festival hosted by Yeoncheon County and organized by the Yeoncheon County Agricultural Technology Center around the Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site in Yeoncheon. The 2026 theme is 'The Breath of Goguryeo Blooms in Chrysanthemum Flowers,' and the event provides sights and activities for visitors by linking the historical and cultural space of the Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site with diverse chrysanthemum landscapes. The venue will feature large chrysanthemum landscapes, themed photo zones and exhibition and activity spaces using Goguryeo imagery. Hands-on programs and photo spots are available for visitors, and spaces to promote and sell local agricultural specialties and a food area are also provided. It is a regional tourism festival designed so that visitors, including families, can enjoy the autumn chrysanthemum scenery and experience Yeoncheon's history, culture and local agriculture together. Paying visitors are refunded an amount equal to the admission fee in Yeoncheon Love gift certificates, linking festival visits with local spending.
