About the festival
The Gaeun Ajagae Market Festival is held for three days from October 2 to 4 around Gaeun-eup, Mungyeong. Built on the friendly atmosphere of the Gaeun Ajagae Market, it offers food, activities, performances and exhibitions for every generation: a Miss Trot 4 gala show on the eve, October 2, a Time Capsule Concert with stars of the 1980s and 90s on October 3, and a Children’s Big Show for families on October 4. Show receipts from nearby shops to taste dishes made with Mungyeong Yakdol pork by a famous chef, and see the Gaeun Coal Mining History Photo Exhibition on the miners and mining village life that powered Korea’s industrialization.
