About the festival
The Andong International Mask Dance Festival is a global festival where memories of masks become one dance for everyone. Visitors can enjoy Korea’s talchum, inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, alongside mask dances from around the world, plus performances, parades, the Daedong Nanjang street party and a world mask dance competition. The 2026 festival connects the time held in masks with life today: when children and elders, locals and visitors laugh, clap and share the rhythm together, the memories carried by masks become living culture.
