About the festival
“Changgyeonggung Night Banquet” is a family-friendly evening royal banquet program that reinterprets the banquet Crown Prince Hyomyeong held for his father, King Sunjo, as an expression of deep filial piety. Participants dress in royal court attire as Joseon officials and noblewomen, taste royal confections with their families and enjoy traditional performances and activities. In 2026 it runs for 20 days, from May 7 to 17 and from September 24 to October 4, so you can walk the palace at night with loved ones over Parents’ Day and the Chuseok holiday.
