About the festival

The 2026 Ulsan Outdoor Library “Sopung” is an outdoor reading event where you read while looking out at the sea. Hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City, it is held at Seuldo Art on Seuldo Island, Bangeo-dong, Dong-gu. The name plays on “Seuldok”, wise reading on Seuldo. It runs from September 19 to October 18, 2026, every Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m., ten days in total. Programs include busking, book talks with writers such as Kim Cho-yeop and Yozoh, DJ sets, pan flute performances, readings, a starlight docent tour and outdoor screenings of films including Little Forest, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Ponyo and Sing, along with live music and a magic show. Times and performers may change depending on conditions.
