About the festival
“Earthenware: Vessels That Held Us” is a special exhibition opening in July at Gwangju National Museum. It takes a fresh look at the earthenware that has long been closest to everyday Korean life, revealing its practicality, beauty and the stories of its living tradition. About 300 objects are on display, including a wrinkle-patterned bottle and a large jar excavated from the Cheonghaejin site on Jangdo Island, Wando.
