2026 Year of Island Visits

About the festival

Visit Islands Year 2026 sheds new light on the ecological and cultural assets of Korea's islands and kicks off Korea's leap toward becoming a leading island tourism destination. In 2026 it is linked with the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo, the world's first expo themed on islands, offering even more to see and do. Through programs held throughout 2026, from island travel subsidy promotions to culture week events, visitors can spread the excitement of the Expo to islands nationwide and experience genuine rest and fresh energy that islands offer.
