Dongmyeong Coffee Walk

About the festival

Dongmyeong Coffee Walk is a coffee culture festival held throughout Dongmyeong-dong in Dong-gu, Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City. Launched in 2021, it marks its sixth edition in 2026, with local cafes and brands offering coffee, desserts and cultural programs. Going beyond tastings, the festival combines performances, hands-on activities, exhibitions and markets around coffee to create an urban cultural journey. Its main programs are ‘Just Awards’, featuring coffee tastings and preference voting; ‘No Run, Just Walk’, combining cafe tours and visits to local attractions; ‘Dongmyeong Marche’, with local merchants and artists; ‘Coffee Walk’, themed activities for finding coffee that suits your taste; ‘Sound Walk’, following stories of Dongmyeong-dong; and ‘Brand Walk’, presenting local-brand storytelling and special exhibitions. The festival runs for two days, from October 31 to November 1, 2026, centered on the ACC annex parking lot and the cafe streets of Dongmyeong-dong. It connects the local commercial district and culture through coffee, offering visitors an urban travel experience as one of the Gwangju area’s major cultural tourism festivals.
