About the festival

The 2026 Mediterranean Village Cultural Festival is an arts and culture festival held on October 31, 2026, throughout Mediterranean Village in Tangjeong-myeon, Asan, Chungcheongnam-do. Under the theme ‘Blooming Day – Art and Markets in the Alleys’, it brings arts and crafts activities, a flea market, street performances and other programs to the village’s alleys and streets. The main programs include a themed-alley stamp tour, the Mediterranean Village flea market, a street parade, street theater and busking performances. The stamp tour takes place in five alleys, including the Street of Painters, the Street of Treasures and the Street of Courage, with activities reflecting each alley’s character, such as urban sketching, caricatures, craft workshops and Odyssey-inspired games. The flea market is planned to feature 42 stalls run by local businesses and outside vendors, centered on Parthenon-gil. A marching-band parade, street theater, busking performances and a food zone are also planned. This local cultural festival turns the village’s existing alleys and commercial spaces into venues for art and hands-on activities, bringing local merchants and visitors together.
