About the festival

The 2026 Gwanghui Road Festa is a glocal food and culture festival held around Eulji-ro 42-gil and 44-gil in Jung-gu, Seoul. Running from 11:00 to 20:00 on Saturday, October 24, 2026, it features the food and cultures of five countries: South Korea, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Russia and Georgia. Under the theme 'A Culinary Silk Road in Central Seoul: Discover the Flavors and Cultures of Five Countries,' this street festival connects Euljiro's local businesses with food cultures from around the world. Food stalls and outdoor dining spaces allow visitors to enjoy food purchased from neighborhood shops in an open-air evening-market atmosphere. Main programs include free lunchboxes featuring the five countries' cuisines, glocal-themed photo spots, walking tours of the shopping district, limited-edition merchandise and prize giveaways, and participatory events with character actors. A street program involving 12 immersive character actors is planned to engage visitors, with sponsored products offered to winners of on-site events. Through food and cultural experiences, the festival links local Euljiro shops with visitors and offers a chance to explore the culinary cultures of different countries in central Seoul.
