About the festival

The 2026 Citizens' Recycling Event 'Eco Wonderland with Alice' is a citizen-participation environmental event where people experience the principles and value of recycling through play, hands-on activities, performances, exhibitions and markets. It takes place on October 24, 2026 at Sangil-dongsan in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and is open to all citizens, including children and families. The venue consists of areas such as the Alice Festival Ground, the Energy Croquet Garden, the Rabbit Hole Treasure Market, the Wondrous Recycling Garden, the Energy Laboratory and the Wonder Market. The event introduces, through exhibitions and hands-on activities, the reuse and sharing of discarded items, proper separation of waste, reducing reusable containers and single-use products, and how green energy is generated. It offers an opening ceremony, an environmental performance, a children's participatory musical, self-powered rides, AR and AI content, upcycling activities and an eco-friendly product flea market, and is designed so that citizens can discover for themselves how to practice recycling in daily life.
