*The food information below is from the 2025 festival; 2026 information is being updated.* First held in 2024, the Gimcheon Gimbap Festival began from a playful idea to build a real 'Gimbap Heaven' in Gimcheon. Held every October at Samyeongdaesa Park, Jikji Culture Park and Eco-friendly Ecological Park, it is a K-food and K-culture festival that evokes the excitement of childhood picnic days with a roll of gimbap. Visitors can taste original gimbap from the annual 'Gimbap Cooking Contest,' a gimbap factory, signature monk gimbap, local gimbap and unusual gimbap from across the country. Experiences, exhibitions, performances and play programs are themed on gimbap, including a Kkodari goods shop, gimbap making and gimbap art.
