About the festival

Art Gwangju is Honam's largest international art fair, offering an overview of trends in contemporary art and the art market. Galleries, artists and collectors from Korea and abroad gather to present works and exchange new artistic value, serving as a hub connecting Gwangju and Jeonnam with the global art world. It is hosted by Gwangju and organized by the Gwangju Foundation for Arts and Culture and Art Gwangju. Art Gwangju 26 features about 110 galleries from 12 countries, including the Middle East and Europe, presenting painting, sculpture, media art and more. Special exhibitions — 'Heroes of Contemporary Art,' 'Propose,' 'Rising Star' and 'Spectrum' — introduce selected works, local collectors' pieces and works by young Gwangju and Jeonnam artists.
