About the festival
Hanbok Culture Week 2026 is a nationwide event held each year in the third week of October, around Hanbok Day (October 21), to promote hanbok and spread the culture of wearing it in daily life. Now in its ninth year, it runs for seven days from October 19 to 25 at more than 410 sites nationwide, including the Open Plaza of the National Museum of Korea. Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation and sponsored by the Arts Council Korea, the program includes a commemorative event, a hanbok fashion show, exhibitions, performances, hands-on activities and an academic forum.
