National Heritage Media Art: Yeosu Jinnamgwan Hall

About the festival

The 2026 National Heritage Media Art Yeosu is a night cultural event that tells the stories of Yeosu’s national heritage, Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Jeolla Left Naval Command through media art. Under the theme “Jinnamgwan, Rebuilt in Light”, it runs from October 9 to November 8, 2026 around Jinnamgwan Hall, Gosodae Pavilion and Yi Sun-sin Square. Based on each site’s history, it expresses Yi Sun-sin’s war diary, his love for the people and the voyage of the turtle ship in video and light, with an AI metahuman Yi Sun-sin, participatory content using visitors’ photos and a stamp tour of Jinnamgwan, Taru Monument and the turtle ship. Activities and a flea market run on weekends.
