About the festival

On a mysterious October night, very special guests travel back in time to a sleepless Damyang. The Damyang National Heritage Night Tour tells the stories of historic figures from Damyang around Gwanbangjerim Forest, the Gaeksa-ri stone flagpole and the Namsan-ri five-story stone pagoda. Enjoy a market street play about Magistrate Seong, who built Gwanbangjerim, with love and laughter, a madang changgeuk featuring Joseon master singer Lee Nalchi, a talk concert with piano under the flagpole, and a family mission game and performance about the wizard Jeon Woo-chi, plus an in-depth humanities lecture on Damyang singer-songwriter Kim Jung-ho of “White Butterfly”.
