About the festival

The Hwasun Jeokbyeok Cultural Festival is held around the Hwasun Jeokbyeok cliffs and the Iseo Community Center in Iseo-myeon, Hwasun-gun. It uses the cliffs’ scenery and historic and cultural value to offer residents and visitors a variety of experiences. Programs include a walk along the cliffs, a GEO environment concert, a Jeokbyeok wellness time for healing, activities with local public institutions and groups and a Hwasun specialty market, plus an exhibition and awards for a youth writing contest and programs by local women’s associations. Free shuttle buses run during the festival, which expects about 5,000 visitors.
