About the festival

The 15th Gyeongsan Jujube Festival & Agricultural Products Fair is a representative local agricultural specialty festival held in Gyeongsan, the land of jujubes, which accounts for about 30% of Korea's jujube production. Gyeongsan jujubes, once offered as tribute to the royal court, are the city's signature specialty, ripened sweetly in the sunshine. Under the theme 'Royal Tribute Gyeongsan Jujube Gourmet Festa,' the festival offers sales of raw jujubes and various gourmet programs using jujube foods. Programs include a talk concert on poet Jang Seok-ju's 'One Jujube,' the 'Byeolcho' trot concert 'Gyeongsan Jujube,' and the 'Teukcho' dinner show. Cultural and arts programs such as Jungbang farmers' music, a trot madang play and a performance by the Cheongchun Mike Synergy Band are also offered, along with an agricultural products fair where visitors can meet local specialties.
