About the festival
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, D.FESTA Small Theater Festival has tracked changes in Korea’s production environment and performance market to lead a better theater culture, seeking new paths for experimental and creative small theater. Since 2016 it has worked with Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon and Busan to close cultural gaps beyond Seoul’s Daehangno, and its exchanges with overseas companies now bear fruit in an Asian co-creation project with Sapporo, Tokyo, China and Taiwan and a Small Theater Festival in Tokyo. With this anniversary edition it aims to become an international festival, introducing outstanding Korean productions abroad.
