About the festival
The Gwangju Busking World Cup is an international street music festival held around Chungjang-ro, Dong-gu, Gwangju. Street performers from Korea and abroad compete with vocals, bands, acoustic sets and performance, advancing through preliminaries and semifinals to a final where expert judges pick the winners. Staged across downtown Gwangju, it uses the city as a venue to spread street performance culture and contributes to global cultural exchange and tourism.
