About the festival

Now in its 26th year, the Sancheong Oriental Medicinal Herb Festival is a herbal medicine and wellness festival rooted in the value of Donguibogam, a UNESCO Memory of the World, and the pristine nature of Jirisan Mountain. At Donguibogam Village it introduces the history and culture of traditional Korean medicine through activities, exhibitions and performances on health and healing, with themed programs such as Sancheong Hyeminseo, a tonic-for-your-body experience and the Oriental Medicine Wellness Hall. Local food, cultural performances and family programs make it fun for all ages, and expanded content for international visitors aims to grow it into a global festival.
