About the festival
The Geumsan World Ginseng Festival is held in Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do, the home of Korean ginseng with 1,500 years of history. Visitors enjoy digging ginseng, red ginseng face packs and foot baths, an international ginseng trade fair and traditional ginseng culture experiences, plus great shopping and healthy food made with ginseng and herbs all around the grounds. Held every year since 1981, it has been named one of Korea’s best festivals ten times and was selected as an Asian specialty products festival by IFEA World in 2024, standing as a leading industry festival and growing into a global one.
