About the festival

The Goseong Pollack Festival celebrates pollack, a historic and cultural treasure of Goseong-gun, Gangwon State, and the flavors, charm and romance of its sea. In 2026 it takes place at Geojin 11-ri Beach in three areas: Discovering Pollack, Discovering Residents and Discovering the Sea. Enjoy a pollack food zone, a cook-it-yourself zone, chef live cooking, pollack stories, a fishing song performance, chainsaw art of good-luck pollack and a pollack playground, plus performances by residents and guest singers, a talent show for soldiers and youth and a village broadcasting station. Beach activities include a pollack beach bar, a sea playground, bare-hand fish catching, a navy ship tour, an AI music festival and a silent disco, along with the Baekseom sea bus and a stamp tour.
