About the festival
The 2026 Ground Forces Festival, hosted by the Republic of Korea Army, is the country’s largest military culture festival, a non-profit event that promotes the army’s development and future policy and builds public trust. It runs for five days from October 1 to 5 at the Gyeryongdae runway in Chungcheongnam-do. Under the theme “The Korean Army Protecting Everyday Life”, the 22nd edition features displays and boarding of the latest Korean and US combat equipment, Army TIGER+ and drone-bot demonstrations, and AI and advanced technology combat systems at the Army Policy Pavilion, plus military band and honor guard performances, taekwondo demonstrations, military police motorcycle drills, Army performance team shows and a road parade.
