About the festival
The Wonju Yongsugol Autumn Flower Festival is a resident-led festival in Yongsugol, Seogok-ri, Panbu-myeon, Wonju, Gangwon State. The 5th edition runs for 13 days from September 23 to October 5, 2026. Villagers plant and tend the flower fields themselves, showing seasonal blooms such as zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, yellow cosmos, purpletop vervain, globe amaranth and asters in themed sections. The festival centers on viewing and photographing the flowers, with food and farm product stalls run by residents. Yongsugol also hosts a corn poppy festival in spring, making it a year-round flower destination.
