About the festival

The 6th Gamaksan Flower and Star Journey takes place from September 18 to October 11, 2026 around Byeolbaram Hill at the summit of Gamaksan Mountain in Sinwon-myeon, Geochang. This year’s theme is “A purple pause just for me”, with performances, activities and food set against autumn scenery. It opens on September 18 with performances and a walk through the Korean daisy fields. Throughout the festival there are busking shows, a sunset hill concert, a celebration concert and a magic show for children, along with photo zones, a stamp tour, SNS events and a slow mailbox that delivers your letter before next year’s festival. The Flower Star Market sells Geochang specialties, and local women’s associations serve bibimbap, gukbap, jeon and tofu kimchi at low prices, with food trucks for coffee, sikhye and hot dogs.
