About the festival
The 'On Citizen Energy Walking Festival' is an eco-friendly energy participation program prepared to commemorate the 2026 Daejeon World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC-9). It is an event where people walk through downtown Daejeon in autumn together, experience the value of energy and the environment firsthand, and all citizens can think about a sustainable future. This event is a walking program anyone can enjoy without any ranking competition. Participants start from Daejeon Expo Citizens' Plaza and walk around Hanbat Arboretum while completing mobile stamp missions. By completing a total of four missions via smartphone QR verification, they receive a completion reward and a mobile completion certificate. Along with the walking program, various programs to learn about energy in an easy and fun way are also run. Held on November 15, 2026 at Daejeon Expo Citizens' Plaza, this event is a special day where citizens walk, learn, and experience together and naturally encounter the importance of sustainable energy and the environment. It is a citizen-participation energy festival where each person's steps add up to create a greener tomorrow.
