About the festival

The Jukbyeon Port Seafood Festival is Uljin County's flagship festival, held around Jukbyeon Port in Uljin County from November 6 to November 8. Themed on Uljin's fresh seafood, it offers a variety of experiences, performances and auction programs. Main programs include bare-handed live fish catching, a seafood dismantling show, a mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) performance and a sea workshop experience, and the opening celebration performance features Park Seo-jin, Park Hyun-bin and Park Ju-hee. During the festival, a fishing boat parade set against Uljin's sea and an on-the-spot seafood auction provide plenty to see and eat. Various booths also let visitors find local seafood and specialty products in one place. The festival is a place of harmony where local fishermen and tourists come together, and it aims to promote the excellence of Uljin Jukbyeon Port seafood and revitalize the local economy.
