About the festival

The 2026 Uiryeong Gigang Rich Flower Festival is a flower-themed festival held from Thursday, September 24 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Hogukuibyeong Forest Waterfront Park, around 672 Seongsan-ri, Jijeong-myeon, Uiryeong-gun. The opening ceremony takes place on Sunday, September 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Second Plaza, and festival programs run for a total of 10 days: September 24–27, October 3–5, and October 9–11. The festival combines the waterside and flower scenery of the Gigang area with the theme of "the energy of wealth" to create a flower festival unique to Uiryeong. The 7.1-hectare landscape zone is planted with summer cypress, pampas grass, pink muhly, aster chrysanthemums, gaura, cosmos, and more. Main programs include an opening performance and celebration show, an ecological trail walk, flower photo zones, an instant four-cut photo booth, a flower playground, cultural performances, local food booths, and agricultural and specialty product booths. During the festival, a shuttle bus (Bbangbbang Bus) runs eight times a day between Uiryeong-eup, Jeonggok-myeon, and the festival site. The festival is hosted by Uiryeong-gun and sponsored by the Uiryeong-gun Council.
