About the festival

This year marks 10 years of the Yesan Market Samguk Festival and 100 years of Yesan Market. The festival conveys the lives and stories of local people found in gukbap (rice soup), guksu (noodles) and gukhwa (chrysanthemums), and a message of hope for the market's next 100 years. Under the theme 'The Story That Never Ends' and the slogan 'Yesan Market! Our story continues,' it unfolds through four themes: expansion of value, space, participation and time. It plans to build a local festival brand through collaboration with young local creators and youth groups, and to enliven local food culture through flagship programs selected from ten bucket-list activities.
