About the festival

The 65th Tamna Cultural Festival carries on the history and cultural spirit of the ancestors who, from the embrace of Hallasan Mountain, built their homeland with the wisdom of creation and a pioneering spirit and made Tamna culture flourish. It reinterprets the cultural heritage and community spirit they left behind from today's perspective and develops them into modern values, and it is meaningful for promoting Jeju's unique culture and arts widely. It also links with the National Sports Festival to create a venue where culture and sports come together, and aims to grow into a cultural festival in which islanders take part and create together. Through this, it seeks communication and harmony across generations and regions, explores the potential of future culture based on Jeju's identity, and aims to pass on the value of Tamna culture to the next generation.
