2026 Jirisan Walking Festival "Jirisan Picnic"

About the festival

"Jirisan Picnic" is a walking event along the Jirisan Dulle-gil trail, started in 2011 to build a walking culture of reflection in Jirisan. Rotating among the five cities and counties around Jirisan (Namwon, Hamyang, Sancheong, Hadong, and Gurye), it is an occasion to meet Jirisan's nature, local culture, and people through walking. The 2026 event is held in Sancheong, on a course of about 12 km that starts at Sancheong County Residents' Neighborhood Park, passes Seonnyeotang and Hanbat Village, stops for lunch in Sancheong-eup, passes Hwanaejeong Pavilion, and returns to the park. Experience programs and events are set along the course, and after the walk, a picnic market and cultural performances continue at the park. A market run by local sellers offers food and crafts, and participants receive a souvenir and KRW 10,000 in Sancheong Love Gift Certificates usable in Sancheong-eup.
