About the festival

The Yangyang Pine Mushroom and Salmon Festival is a signature autumn festival in Yangyang’s pristine nature of mountains, sea and the Namdaecheon Stream, combining ecological wonder with the joy of food. Beyond tasting pine mushrooms from the deep mountains and salmon returning to the stream, it offers fun ways to experience nature. Highlights are the pine mushroom treasure hunt in the pine forest and bare-hand salmon catching in Namdaecheon, plus a salmon eco tour with a docent, a pine mushroom and salmon cooking show and pine mushroom liquor making. Missions with prizes, a stamp tour, custom T-shirts, snack collages for kids, local pop-up stores, a specialty market and an auction starting at KRW 1,000 add to the fun, with shaded rest areas by day and a lit-up local dining space at night.
