About the festival
Food information is from the 2025 festival and is being updated for 2026. This annual performing arts festival celebrates gugak, a cultural heritage of Yeongdong, honors the musical achievements of Nangye Park Yeon and promotes traditional arts. The 57th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival builds on the success of the 2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo to promote gugak worldwide and contribute to a second Hallyu. As Korea’s only gugak festival, it carries on traditional arts through performances and hands-on programs tailored to the region, bringing residents together.
