About the festival
The Gangneung Noodle Festival is a food festival in Gangneung, a city of noodles where jang kalguksu, makguksu, jjamppong and potato ongsimi kalguksu are loved more than anywhere else. Popular as the Gangneung Noodle Festival (Noodle) until 2025, it was renamed for its 5th edition in 2026 to feel more familiar and reflect local character. It runs for four days from October 15 to 18 on Wolhwa Street, with a food zone for tasting Gangneung’s many noodles, from famous restaurants to hidden alley eateries, plus activities, exhibitions, contests and cooking shows.
