Welcome to Singwan-dong

About the festival

Welcome to Singwan-dong is a youth culture street festival held around the university street in Singwan-dong, Gongju. Part of the culture city project by Gongju City and the Gongju Culture and Tourism Foundation, it aims to grow Singwan-dong into a hub of youth culture and revitalize local culture and businesses. Since 2022 it has centered on street performance, gradually adding a busking contest, street performances, a beer festa, a flea market and activities. In 2025 it built the “Welcome to Singwan-dong” brand with signs, sculptures and navigation listings, and in 2026 residents, merchants, universities and youth run it together. The 2026 festival takes place from October 9 to 11 with main concerts, national street performances, youth groups, local shop programs and local currency coupons, linked with the Baekje Cultural Festival.
