About the festival

The 2026 Gijang Eupseong Fortress Festival is a hands-on cultural tourism festival held from October 9 to 11 on the lawn in front of the Gijang Modern History Museum and around the museum. Set against local historic spaces such as Gijang Eupseong Fortress, it combines performances, reading, film, activities and guided programs, including a voice music play bar, a book concert, neighborhood film screenings, traditional performances, a dance challenge, a reading club and a pet reels contest. The museum offers pop-up workshops, slow-living healing activities and a docent walk around the fortress, and ongoing activities include a good-luck charm lab, a pet rock adoption booth, a goods shop and a play zone.
