About the festival

As autumn deepens, Hwangmaesan is dyed with silvery silver grass (eulalia). The 5th Hwangmaesan Silver Grass Festival lets visitors enjoy the autumn atmosphere against the beautiful silver grass scenery and take part in diverse performances and activities. Starting with the opening ceremony on October 17, celebratory performances and weekend cultural and arts performances follow, and on weekdays programs that add small pleasures are offered, such as Hwangmaesan photo booths, healing music listening, 'Catch 10 Seconds' and dice games. During the festival, a local agricultural specialty shop and a food market also operate, where visitors can feel the flavor and warmth of the region along with the autumn scenery of Hwangmaesan. Sharing-cart tours for people with limited mobility and docent tours with a forest interpreter around Hwangmaesan are also available so that everyone can comfortably meet Hwangmaesan. Slowly walking while watching the silver grass sway in the wind and enjoying performances and activities in the beautiful scenery, you will find yourself in the middle of autumn, a time that will be remembered for a long while when visiting Hwangmaesan with family, lovers and friends.
