About the festival

The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Festival, which reflects the value of Geumjeongsan Mountain newly designated as a national park in 2026, will be held for three days from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18 at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and the Geumjeongsanseong Fortress area. Based on Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, the largest mountain fortress in Korea and a representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and on Geumjeongsan National Park, it is a history, culture and arts festival held every year to commemorate the construction of the fortress. Continuing since the Geumjeong Arts Festival in 1996, this year it presents Geumjeong's new appeal through diverse programs where the ecology and nature of Geumjeongsan National Park blend with the history and culture of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress.
