About the festival
Starting from the first Baekje Grand Festival held in Buyeo in 1955, the Baekje Cultural Festival marks its 72nd year as one of Korea’s leading history and culture festivals, celebrating Baekje’s brilliant culture and long history. The 72nd festival runs for nine days from October 3 to 11, 2026 across downtown Buyeo under the theme “Beautiful Baekje, Shining Sabi”. Around Jeongnimsa Temple Site, Seoktap-ro and the Gwanbuk-ri Site, it presents about 40 programs in seven areas: rites and Buddhist ceremonies, a history and culture procession, performances, exhibitions, activities and night scenery. Held in the town center this year, it is an open festival where Baekje’s history, local shops and daily life come together.
